This is our fourth time eating at this establishment. Everytime we come to Alabama we stay in Birmingham so we can eat at this diner. Start to Exit. The hospitality is remarkable. They greet everyone with a genuine Good morning and welcome! They allow you to choose where you would like to sit unless there's a wait. The waitress comes to greet you and get your beverage order immediately. Once they bring your beverage she will ask if your ready to order. The food comes out ASAP because they never want the quality the cooks put into the food to be ruined by waiting in the window. The tiny pancakes are buttery and delicious. The bacon is wonderful. And the orange juice taste sooo fresh! The food is hands down delicious! Upon leaving they thank you for coming. Thank you to the entire staff. Especially the cooks in the kitchen who could get over looked. I SEE YOU! Thank you and we look forward to coming again and again. Can't get this in Florida!
Had always been to Pelham Diner for breakfast, and let me tell you, you can’t go wrong with their breakfast. But today we stopped by here lunch. A meat and three served cafeteria style. I had meatloaf with green beans and sweet potato casserole. Only complaint was a little too much sauce on the meatloaf for my taste but had an excellent flavor. Wife ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatoes, fried okra and blackberry cobble. She cleaned her plate, which is unusual for her. Said everything was excellent. Service and staff are top notch and make you feel like your at grandma’s table. Definitely a winner for lunch and prices can’t be beat!!
I love Pelham diner they have the best food ever and I love spaghetti mashes potatoes they have the best cobbler ever we love Abbi and madalin Madi and the whole team they are my best friends ever we love them very much and I love them very much too they have good service they always take care of me when they give me sweet tea to go cup
If I loved closer, I'd come here every day for breakfast. Great service, food came out quick, and had no problem with any of my food. Loved the look of the diner and if I ever pass by here again, I'm definitely getting breakfast again. If I get a chance, I'd love to try their lunch/dinner!
If you want a place where the food is great and folks are friendly enough to welcome you as a friend, this is your place. I had the pancakes. They are HUGE! My only problem is I live in another town and can't make it in there every week.
This place is absolutely fantastic! As the owner of a similar place in Montgomery, I have NEVER and I repeat NEVER had a breakfast close to what we serve up at home. However, this morning I was surprised as all get out... The grits.. Perfect, The bacon 🥓 Perfect.... The biscuit omg the biscuit.... Perfection! The eggs.... Eggzakely I way I love them🤣... AND The pancake.. Ooooo... The pancake 🥞... Y'all if you are ever even close to The Pelham Diner please bless yourself and go there... It's an amazing little spot with all the right vibes.... If you’re looking for a great local place to eat, I highly recommend Pelham Diner. I’ve known the owner, Toni Darby, for over 10 years, and she truly puts her heart into everything she does. Our daughters played softball together at Pelham High School, so it’s been great watching her build such a wonderful restaurant. I ordered the Philly steak and fries, and it was absolutely delicious! The menu has a wide variety of options, so there’s something for everyone. A huge thank you to Abby Lombard for the excellent service. It was also special seeing Abby, since my daughter played softball with her as well. Great food, friendly atmosphere, and amazing people. I would definitely recommend Pelham Diner to anyone looking for a great meal and outstanding service!
We had a great breakfast stop (driving through town)…older diner feel, good size portions, quick and kind service. Coffee was just ok, I like stronger coffee. Food was hot, came out fast and was delicious!
